Notice to the Electors
TOWN OF LONG LAKE
WASHBURN COUNTY
PRIMARY ELECTION
TUESDAY September 14, 2010
POLLS OPEN 7:00 AM TO 8:00 PM
VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
Any qualified elector unable or unwilling to get to the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. Citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day and who has resided in the Town of Long Lake in Washburn County for at least 10 days before the election may vote in said town.
To obtain an absentee ballot you must be a registered voter and complete an Application for Absentee Ballot. You may request this by letter or by contacting the Town clerk. Call 715-354-3048 for more information. THE DEADLINE FOR MAKING APPLICATION TO VOTE ABSENTEE IS 5:00 PM, Thursday Sept. 9, 2010. THE DEADLINE FOR VOTING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN THE CLERK’S OFFICE IS 5:00 PM MONDAY, September 13. All voted ballots must be returned to the Clerk so as to be delivered to the polling place by 8:00 PM when the polls close on September 14. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted.
