LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
September 21, 2010 Town Hall
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Wes Mohns, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present.
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: A motion was made by Wes and seconded by Harvey to approve the Aug.10 monthly board minutes. Motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s August, 2010 financial report as presented with a motion made by Harvey and seconded by Wes. Motion passed.
ORDINANCE FOR BOAT RAMP PERMIT AT TOWN HALL BOAT LANDING: Wes explained that the DNR required the Town to pass an ordinance to collect permit fees at the Boat Landing or the grant for improvements would be reduced by $5000. A discussion ensued on fees to be charged. Changes were made to the ordinance the clerk had prepared and passage will be at the next Board meeting in October.
REMOVAL OF NO PARKING SIGNS AT EASTSIDE BOAT LANDING: Boat landing at the Town Hall will be closed Oct. 4 to begin construction on the improvements. Clerk will put notice in papers and a sign will be made by LeRoy to put at the Town Hall. A motion was made by Wes to remove the No Parking signs at the Eastside Boat Landing. Harvey seconded. Motion passed. Signs that say Park on This Side only will be posted at this site.
SET DATE FOR BUDGET PLANNING: Monday, Oct. 25 at 9:00 am was set for the Budget Planning session.

LOGGING AT TOWN HALL: LeRoy hasn’t gotten any info yet.
LAWYER UPDATE: No information received to date from Joe Thrasher.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
• Barb Logue-Recreation Committee- ticks are bad on the walking trail and asked to have it mowed. New ATV trails will be signed possibly next week.
• Barb-First Responders-saw new setup at the jail and discussed the problem of not being paged all the time. Sheriff did not know how far our territory went so he will adjust.

PUBLIC INPUT: None
REPORTS OF TOWN OFFICERS:
LeRoy- Septic inspection was done by LeRoy-it should be pumped in June, 2011. Audubon road is all graveled and will be black topped in Oct. He had info from BFCESD on the budget for fire and ambulance for 2011. It looks like the cost will go up for 2011. The final numbers are not out yet. The next BFCESD meeting will be at Town of Long Lake Hall the 2nd Thursday of October.
Harvey Olund- Received info and estimates on crack sealing from Fahrner. Cost would be $11,200 for sealing on Pioneer Rd from Church road to Bridge Rd about a mile and Laundromat road from M to the place chip seal starts. It was decided to go ahead with this.
Wes Mohns-had dock quotes from a couple of places. He will check on a couple more. Decision on docks for the boat landing will be on the agenda next month.
Ruth Ann-had some Tax deeds from County looking for information-asked for input from the Board.
Marcia-reported on cost for clean-up days-the bill was $1880 plus $225 for delivering and picking up the bins so cost to the Town will be $305 after we receive the grant of $1800.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to pay vouchers 2267-2291. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
