LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
October 12, 2010 Town Hall
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Wes Mohns, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present.
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to approve the Sept. 21 monthly board minutes. Motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s September, 2010 financial report as presented with a motion made by Wes and seconded by Harvey. Motion passed.
VARIANCE APPLICATION-LIND TRUST: Mark Larson was present representing the Lind’s request to add on to their existing cabin on Holy Island Road. Harvey made a motion to approve the variance and LeRoy seconded it. Wes abstained due to conflict of interest. Motion carried.
JOINT PROJECT BETWEEN LLPA & TOWN BOARD-BRAD RAY: Brad discussed the two grants that the Town and LLPA applied for. Only one will be available now and the other one can be applied for in Feb., 2011. This is a delay of the second part of the project. He encouraged the Board to accept the first grant. Wes made a motion that we accept the proposal to move forward with the Lake Management grant application as presented by Brad Ray. Harvey seconded. Motion carried.
DECISION ON DOCKS FOR BOAT LANDING AT TOWN HALL: Wes had information on four different suppliers of docks. He explained the options. There were some questions and Wes will get more information and answers for next month for a decision.
ORDINANCE FOR BOAT RAMP PERMIT AT TOWN BOAT LANDINGS: After discussion, a motion was made by Wes to pass Ordinance 2010-3 as read by the clerk. Harvey seconded it. Motion passed.
LOGGING AT TOWN HALL: no info yet
LAWYER UPDATE: Mr. Thrasher said the Town can not get the land on Morningside Road in the Town’s name in order to sell the property. They can make a park out of it as the land was designated as a park. He is studying this issue further.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: LeRoy reported that all ATV trails are now signed.

PUBLIC INPUT:
• Hal Liensenfelt reported there is still cement in the ditch. A culvert was crushed.
REPORTS OF TOWN OFFICERS:
LeRoy-there will be a BFCESD meeting at the Town Hall at 6:30 Thursday-any interested parties are welcome. The old truck needs some repairs.
Harvey Olund-reported that the trails on town 80 are mowed and are nice grassy trails for walking. Had a list of mailboxes on Eastside Road that needed gravel put around them. He will contact Bob Dahle to do this. He discussed Bridge Road and agreement with Oak Grove Township.
Wes Mohns-cement for new boat ramps is poured.
Ruth Ann- nothing
Marcia-discussed the Public Budget Hearing & Special Town Meeting of the Electors to adopt the Levy. It was decided to hold this on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 as notice has to be published 15 days prior to the meeting.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to pay vouchers 2292-2306. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
