LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
MEETING MINUTES

November 9, 2010 Town Hall

The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Wes Mohns, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present.

MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to approve the October 12th monthly board minutes. Motion carried.

FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s October, 2010 financial report as presented with a motion made by Wes and seconded by Harvey. Motion passed.

LIQUOR LICENSE FOR TOM HAACK AS AGENT FOR PIONEER BAR: A change was needed for the Pioneer Bar liquor license because Roger Jacobs, the former agent passed away. Wes made a motion too approve Tom Haack as agent for a license to Pioneer bar. Harvey seconded it. Motion passed and Marcia gave the new license to Tom Haack who was present.

DISCUSSION & DECISION ON TOWN TRUCKS: A special meeting was held to discuss the trucks with Dave Tomesh from L&L on Oct. 27 with Board members. LeRoy got appraisals on the trucks. The older one was $2500-$5000, and the newer one was $10,000-15,000. Dave is willing to pay $12,500 for the newer truck. Marcia will call the Town’s Assoc. for information on legality of the sale and this will be on the Nov. 15 agenda at the special Town meeting.

DECISION ON DOCKS FOR BOAT LANDING AT TOWN HALL: Wes contacted 5 different places for quotes. Dave’s Outboard-$4435.22, Spooner Machine -$3827.00, Miller’s Cheese-$4123.5, Power Sports-about $6,000, and Mikana Marine & Resort-$3424 which included delivery and installation. Harvey made a motion to buy the dock from Mikana Marine for $3424. Wes seconded it. Motion carried.

LOGGING AT TOWN HALL: Nothing

LAWYER UPDATE: nothing

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
• Recreation committee is discussing having a skating rink at Greeners. Tug of war teams are needed for July, 2011 for Washburn County’s 100th year celebration and LeRoy asked Barb Logue if the recreation committee would look into this. New maps are being re-drawn for ATV trails.
• Gene Romsos reported for First Responders that the tower by Hovdes will be used by the responders.


PUBLIC INPUT:
• Hal Liensenfelt asked about seeing list of vouchers being paid. Asked if a list could be made available to the public. Marcia will have copies available at the next meeting.

REPORTS OF TOWN OFFICERS:
 LeRoy- Barron Cty is having an open house Nov. 17, Fire Inspection- fire extinguishers need updating, and shouldering has started on Audubon Rd. He got approval from Oak GroveTownship on split agreement on roads.
 Harvey Olund-crack seal done and patching done
 Wes Mohns- boat landing is done until spring-no loading of boats until spring. Barricades will be removed after the freeze for ice fishing.
 Ruth Ann- tax bills-inserts-she will put something in about charging at thee boat landings.
 Marcia-reminded everyone of the upcoming meeting of the electors on Monday night, Nov. 15 at 6:00 pm.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made by Wes and seconded by Harvey to pay vouchers 2307-2332. Motion passed.

ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 p.m. The next regular monthly meeting will be Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
