LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
March 10, 2009 Town Hall
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Bert Richter, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present.
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: The Board approved the minutes of the February 10, 2009 meeting as read by the clerk with a motion made by Harvey and seconded by Bert.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s February, 2009 financial report as presented with a motion made by Bert and seconded by Harvey.
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER – Thad Hovde was present to explain where the tower would be located on his land and its uses. It will be a 300’ communication tower and facility multi-tenant. AT&T will be the primary tenant. Harvey made a motion to approve the request. Bert seconded it. Motion passed.
NEW HEAT EXCHANGER FOR TOWN HALL: LeRoy explained that the heat exchanger has a crack in it. This could cause carbon monoxide release. Cost is $300-350 to put it in. The exchanger is under warranty so there is no charge for the part. A new furnace installed would be $2800. LeRoy will call and order a heat exchanger from Paul’s Sheet Metal.
ROAD WEIGHT LIMITS: Harvey will call John Rau to put the signs up on Monday, March 16.
ANNUAL MEETING AGENDA ITEMS:
Lake Street/Plat of Holmes Park issue
Mileage reimbursement for Planning Commission members
Reimbursement for Town Board members doing work needed done in an emergency.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
First Responders-Rich Alvin reported that a four wheeler went through the ice in the narrows. The owner was able to get it out and no one was injured. He said that the Recreation Committee hadn’t met.
PUBLIC INPUT:
None
REPORTS OF TOWN OFFICERS:
LeRoy –there will be a meeting on March 17-6:00 pm at the County Board regarding the County Planning Commission and Board members are invited to attend to give input. Discussed a letter from Washburn County Hwy Dept. about MSHA(mine safety) training on April 8, 2009 at 7:00 am. This is required for anyone who wishes to enter gravel pits.
Harvey Olund-Road report: He said Lakken Rd ditch was cleaned up.
Bert Richter-discussed some large cracks in the roads and suggested the cracks be filled now. LeRoy said it usually isn’t done at this time of year. Harvey will check with the County on this.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made and approved to pay vouchers 1891-1916.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 following the Annual meeting at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
