LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
December 9, 2008 Town Hall
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Bert Richter, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present.
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: The Board approved the minutes of the November 11 meeting as read by the clerk.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s November, 2008 financial report as presented.
REZONING REQUEST FOR KENNETH & WENDY CARLSON: The Carlsons had requested rezoning 20 acres East ½ of the SE ¼ SE ¼ Section 25-37-11 from Agriculture to Residential Agriculture. LeRoy reported that the planning commission looked at this and recommended that only 10 acres be rezoned to Residential Agriculture. Harvey made a motion to approve rezoning the 10 acres of the SE quarter of the SE quarter of the SE quarter to Residential Agriculture. Bert seconded the motion. Motion carried.
INSERTS ON BILLS: Ruth Ann gave copies of her proposed inserts to Board members for approval. There are two sheets, one with information on ATV trails on one side and 1st Responder information on the opposite side. The other sheet was general information about the Town. The Board approved the inserts.
SET DATE FOR JANUARY CAUCUS: Marcia reported that the Caucus must be held no sooner than the first Tuesday and no later than the last Tuesday in January. The Board decided to hold it on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 9:00 am at the Town Hall. Marcia provided Board members with Notification of Noncandidacy forms.
PUBLIC INPUT: None
REPORTS OF TOWN OFFICERS:
LeRoy –asked about the five planning commissioner members getting mileage reimbursement-he said to put this on the agenda for next month. Stump on Little Bear Rd.-questioned taking it out or marking it for the plow. The recycling will be moved to the Town Hall on Sat., Dec. 13 and will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Salt/sand prices were quoted.
Harvey Olund-Road report: He discussed the bills from the County on road construction.
Bert Richter-.discussed frost boil dug out on Audubon Road. Discussed large number of cats that are running loose near his home. LeRoy will check to see if there are any laws regarding this problem.
Ruth Ann-read an article from WTA December Report commending the clerks on the recent election.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made and approved to pay vouchers 1799-1816
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
