LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
January 12, 2010 Town Hall
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge at 6:00 pm followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Wes Mohns, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present. Wes made a motion to go into open meeting as the last meeting of the Board was in closed session. Harvey seconded the motion. Motion passed.
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: A motion was made by Wes and seconded by Harvey to approve the December monthly board minutes as read by the clerk. Motion approved. The minutes of Dec 19th special board meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to approve these minutes. Motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s December, 2009 financial report as presented with a motion made by Wes and seconded by Harvey. Motion passed.
BUILDING INSPECTOR UPDATE: Jon Mattson was chosen as building inspector and brought an agreement for the Board to review. Jon said he would e-mail the clerk a copy of his charges.
LAWYER BILL: LeRoy contacted the lawyer and he will send a new bill adjusting the charges. LeRoy presented a letter from Bill Austin regarding the legal charges. LeRoy will follow up with Bill as to his call with the Lawyer.
BOAT LANDING RESOLUTION: The clerk read the resolution. Wes gave an update on the plans for the boat landing at the Town Hall site. This resolution is needed to apply for a grant to cover 50% of the cost. After discussion, Harvey made a motion to adopt Resolution 2010-1 and LeRoy seconded it. Motion passed
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Planning Commission: A note from Bill Austin, Chair of the Planning Commission, requested that the Board meet with the Planning Commission and Jon Mattson on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall to discuss ways to avoid concerns that arose with the previous agreement. The Board and Jon Mattson agreed to do this. Marcia will post a Special Meeting notice.
First Responders: Rich Alvin said they were working on some ambulance issues.
PUBLIC INPUT:
Gene Beatty-questioned snow plowing on Eastside Road and was unhappy with the service during the first big snow. He said the roads are consistently bad near his home. LeRoy told Gene to call him anytime there was a problem.
John Hartman said there were problems with plowing on Morningside Road also.
David Haessig-asked to have the budget put on the website.

Marcia-asked who would attend the 2010 District meeting to be held in Cumberland on Sat. Feb. 6. She will send in registrations. Also inquired about extending service on the Town’s Trac Phone which the Board gave the OK to do.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to pay vouchers 2086-2119. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
