LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP BOARD
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
April 13, 2010 Town Hall
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Chairman LeRoy Sandridge following the Annual Meeting. Board supervisors Harvey Olund and Wes Mohns, Treasurer Ruth Ann Dinga, and Clerk Marcia Kampf were present.
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES: A motion was made by Harvey and seconded by Wes to approve the March monthly board minutes as read by the clerk. Motion approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board approved Ruth Ann’s March, 2010 financial report as presented with a motion made by Wes and seconded by Harvey. Motion passed.
APPROVAL OF FIREWORKS PERMIT FOR BUTCH RIESCHL: there was no action as Butch was not present.
APPROVAL OF LIQUOR LICENSE FOR GREENER’S REEL’EM INN: Troy and Michelle Greener are the new business owners of the Reel-Em Inn. Harvey made a motion to approve a liquor license for Greener’s Reel-Em Inn, Inc. at N1410 Cty. Hwy MD. Wes seconded the motion. Motion carried.
OCCUPANCY PERMIT FOR PROPERTY ON MORNINGSIDE RD: John Hartman gave a report on the property. It’s a condo at Crow’s Nest owned by Russell Zdeb-W3429 Morningside Road. Wes made a motion that the Board accepts the occupancy permit regarding the results of the radon report, and the application of the epoxy paint to the concrete basement floor, and the acceptance letter of the owners. Harvey seconded it. Motion carried.
SET DATES FOR OPEN BOOK AND BOARD OF REVIEW: Open book will be Saturday May 15, 2010 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Town Hall. The Board of Review will be held Tuesday, June 1 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Town Hall.
SIGNATURES FOR BANK ACCOUNTS: Ruth Ann explained that the bank wants an update on signatures at the bank. It was agreed that two signatures, the clerk’s and the treasurer’s would be file at the bank for all accounts for the Town of Long Lake.
ROAD SIGNS FOR TOWNSHIP: There must be an agreement by 2012 on replacing road signs in the township. There is a new type of reflection required. Marcia mentioned a highway workshop at Turtleback on Tuesday, April 20. LeRoy agreed to attend and Marcia will send in the registration.
PUBLIC INPUT:
Rich Alvin-will send in bill on beaver control when completed.
Bert Richter-had complaints about snow plowing on his road. LeRoy talked to Dave about this.
Gene Romsos asked about roadside mowing for this season-Denny Ullom is someone who does a good job and should be considered this year. He felt that the county did not do a very good job last year.
REPORTS OF TOWN OFFICERS:
LeRoy-discussed lawyer problem-put on agenda for May
Harvey Olund-road report-time to remove road limit signs-will push leaves at recycling-discussed pot holes on Eastside Road and Laundromat Road, Culvert on Long Lake Ave.
Wes Mohns-discussed double chip sealing and suggested the Town look into using this.

Marcia-asked about taking insurance off the trucks-LeRoy will let her know when.

VOUCHERS: A motion was made by Wes and seconded by Harvey to pay vouchers 2171-2191. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 6:00 pm. A tape of these minutes will be kept on file at the Town Hall or at the Clerks Home.
