TOWN OF LONG LAKE COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 6, 2008
Chairman Lloyd Olund called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m..
Members present were: Mick Givens, David Haessig and Lloyd Olund.
Members absent: Geff Hovde and LeRoy Sandridge.
The Secretary read the Secretary’s report for the February 7 Comprehensive Planning Commission meeting.
Motion Haessig and second Olund to approve the minutes of the February 7, 2008 meeting.
Voting for: All.
Voting against: None.
Motion carried.
New Business:
Agenda item 3a. There was no Public Comment.
Agenda item 3b. Kurt and Kelly Bender presented their Variance Request along with their representative Doug Larson. Charles Chrisler spoke in favor and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sabatke spoke against.
Geff Hovde arrived at 7:40.
Motion Givens and second Hovde to approve the Bender Variance Request contingent upon run-off abatement to include rain garden and catch basin construction.
Voting for: Givens and Hovde.
Voting against: Haessig.
Abstaining: Olund.
Motion carried.
Agenda item 3c. Gene Romsos presented the Recreation Committee report. No action taken.
Agenda item 3d. There was no Morningside Plat update.
Agenda item 3e. David Haessig reported that Eric Olson of the UW will check into the possibilities of using State Department of Transportation Planning Grant for projects in the Town Hall vicinity.

Motion Haessig and second Olund to adjourn.
Voting for: All.
Voting against: None.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned 8:20 p.m..
