Town of Long Lake Plan Commission
Meeting Minutes ? 6/7/11
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Austin at 6:00 PM
Roll Call ? All Plan Commission members were present. New members Wes Mohns and Al Ausing were welcomed. Town Building Inspector John Madden was also present by request of the Town Chairman.
Motion made by Le Roy Sandridge and seconded by Wes Mohns to approve the March 31, 2011 minutes as presented. Motion carried. The minutes submitted for the May 5, 2011 meeting, which did not have a quorum to conduct official business, were approved by those present at that meeting (Le Roy Sandridge and Bill Austin), after the next meeting date was corrected to read June 7th.
Old Business: none
New Business: John Mattson presented problems he has encountered with the verbiage in the Town?s building ordinance (#2004-2) as it relates to the Wisconsin UDC. John made several suggestions for changes that would clarify a dwelling from garages, sheds and other outbuildings. Considerable discussion took place and it was decided that Plan Commission members should study the ordinance and be prepared to make suggestions and discuss changes in the ordinance that would clearly define when building permits were required and what structures/additions should be inspected using the criteria of the UDC.
A review and discussion of the County Subdivision Ordinance was tabled until the next meeting so members could get a copy of the ordinance. Either Le Roy or Al will have enough copies for our next meeting.
Al Ausing gave us a review of the Commissioner Training he attended in Cable, WI. He also handed out copies of the notes that were handed out and copies of the Power Point presentations.

Remarks by Commissioners: It was decided to move our meeting date back to the first Thursday of the month.
