Town of Long Lake Plan Commission
Meeting Minutes – July 2, 2009
Chairman Bill Austin called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Bill Austin, Alan Barta, David Haessig, Gene Romsos and LeRoy Sandridge
Members Absent: None
Minutes of June 4, 2009 were circulated. Motion by Barta and seconded by Sandridge to approve.
Voting for: All
Voting against: None
Motion: CARRIED
Old Business:
Minutes and ordinances will be added to the Long Lake Township website by Town Clerk.
Chair will get copies of ordinances to all members that need them.
New Business:
a) Voigt Variance Request – Jeanne Voigt present with builder Pete Schneider. Variance discussed by commission.
Following motion was by Barta and seconded by Romsos.
Long Lake Plan Commission recommends to the Long Lake Town Board that the variance be approved as submitted and plans submitted this evening be included:

Motion carried.
b) Report of building inspector – Scott Schiefbain
Few building permits issued for the first six months of 2009. Discussed problems with new construction and no occupancy permits for homes not in compliance. Consensus of board that building ordinance be enforced. Inspector will report to Long Lake Town Board at August meeting.
c) Policy - Commission will meet on the first Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Long Lake Town Hall.
d) Policy – Public input will be limited to five minutes. Public is encouraged to request placement on the agenda for items of importance to the Commission and the Town.
e) Public Input – None
Next meeting set for August 6th, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Long Lake Town Hall.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
